Yvonne Mwale, who begun singing on a professional level in 2001, was born in Zambia's Eastern Province in 1988. She is the daughter to MP Honorable Mr. Michael Mwale and former songstress Jelita Mwanza.
An orphan after both her parents passed away when she was 12, she was left with nothing but her talent after  family members took away her parents possessions. A true survivor,sh managed two years without a home on the streets of Lusaka.

Before going to Tanzania 2011, Yvonne had a successful stints in her native Zambia as well with the group Nyali with whom she even toured Europe. She signed for Caravan Records in 2012 which, her first record label deal. Caravan Records are an independent record label based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They have a representative in East Africa. Caravan records specialize in contemporary African music with a focus on distribution, management and events.

Her first album is called "Kalamatila" published 2012 by Caravan Records.It is fused with an energetic blend of Reggae, Dance-hall but also some traditional and Fusion sounds.This is Yvonne Mwale's debut album and from the sound of it,it's gonna be big.
