BREAKING BAD: Crime Does Pay

Ever felt like doing something bad for the greater good was the right thing to do, or how you have led such an exemplary morally upright life but have nothing to show for it (especially financially) or how the 'bad guys' always have it good, the money, the car, the girls.

Well Breaking Bad is is a raw drama that gets to show how living a life on the moral high ground is not always a rosy affair.
The story finds a brilliant chemist, Walter White, who teaches at the local high school and finds himself on hard times after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. To top it all off his stay at home wife, Skyler

White, is pregnant and his teenage son,Walter White Jnr, who suffers from cerebral palsy. In an attempt to leave his family well off he engages in the manufacture and sale of methamphetamine, street name meth, with Jesse Pinkman a former student of his as his partner.

Its deeply compelling story that portrays the daily human struggle of doing what is right versus doing what wrong with the exception of the motivation behind ones actions. The story driven series has enough moral dilemmas that leave you questioning your own values and more often than not you end up siding with the protagonists actions which tend to be illegal but somehow morally justified.

The series is in its fifth and final season after premiering on January 20, 2008. It's been a widely acclaimed series that's has had major success on the TV screen and has gone on to inspire fans (like me) to venture into crime. The accolades the series has managed to garner speaks volumes of its strong storyline having won 7 Primetime Emmy Awards including three consecutive wins for Best Actor for Cranston who plays the lead character Walter White, two wins for Best Supporting Actor for Paul, and three nominations for Outstanding Drama Series.

the WALKING DEAD: fight the dead, fear the living

Shhhh...dont make a sound

The series is set in a post apocalyptic world where the dead rise up and feed on the living. The horror/drama series follows the main character,Rick Grimes, a former deputy sheriff as he tries to keep his family and a group of survivors alive even though the group gets smaller with each passing episode.

The world is literally upside down, there is no government, law force, hospitals or basic amenities and people have to survive with what is there as well as stay alive by evading the deadly zombies. Hardly a day passes by before someone loses their lives to them or is killed by a rival 'group' as the living also fight amongst themselves for the precious
resources available ...most of the time it tends to be over guns and ammunition or a safe place to stay.

The  'Walkers' as the are fondly known as (sic) are always hungry for a live meal and they hardly have any weakness. Individually they are easy to kill but in a group they become a formidable force to reckon with. Their bite is also infectious as it is deadly leaving very little to be desired of a bitten person.

The series premiered on October 31, 2010 and has gone on to have three successive seasons as well as won various awards like the Writers Guild of America Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series (Drama) The series is based on a comic book by the same name and the creators did it justice by coming up with a captivating ad intense series that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the season.

Season four is slated to premiere in October 2013 and will consist of 16 episodes.
